Low Key Weekend!

This has been a really low key weekend. My brother and his fiancé closed on their first house on Wednesday. So, Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday morning we helped them do some odds and ends with the house. Saturday, I had the pleasure of going to the dump (or shall I be politically correct and say landfill?). Anywho, I have been to the dump before, but only to the “fancy” part. Basically, there you just back your truck up to this nice little ledge and toss your stuff in these huge dumpsters. It is a clean process, where everything is paved. However, Chris and my brother really wanted to go through dirt. You know how guys are with trucks. So, we went to the real dump! After going about a mile on a dirt type road, we had reached the, um, trash heap. There was trash everywhere and these huge scary machines pushing it all around, rolling over all of it. Trucks were everywhere with everyone throwing their discards into the mound. It reeked! I sat in the truck the entire time. I pretty much never want to go back. And, anyone that can stand to be around all that trash and stench everyday should get a raise! Oh, and that makes a great segway into the fact I made a quiche this weekend! haha It wasn't that pretty, but it was really yummy!

Saturday afternoon my allergies were acting up so bad. I finally took some medicine at bedtime which made me wake up every thirty minuets. Needless to say, Sunday was spent napping most of the day. Chris and Dylan made some brownies while I was snoozing and they did a really good job!
