Taking The Time

Long time, no blog. I took a little break because, y'all, it's hard to document all the activities your kids do! :) Of course, you know me, I still took a ton a pictures. I probably need to try and be in the moment a little more rather than worrying about pictures. I always think "Oh, but won't this be cute to look back on 10 or 20 years from now". Seems like it's kinda of a tug of war sometimes.
I've really been trying to better myself lately. It's hard as a mom to want to actively take care of yourself. I tend to put my mental and physical health last and that's just not the best idea sometimes. It's kinda crazy, I still deal with guilt when I go to the chiropractor, therapist, doctor, etc. I think "this money could be spent doing this, or buying this for kids...etc". I've got to let those feelings go and slowly, I think I am. I'm blessed to have a wonderfully supportive husband that would do anything for me though. He even let me sign up for a personal trainer along with my gym membership. This is something I'm really excited about. I need their help, accountability, and knowledge because uh, I really don't know how to even use most gym equipment, LOL! I've used all my excuses for not losing weight. It's time and I'm ready. I'm also talking with a couple organizations about volunteering, and I have a fun new hobby that I'm about to take on.

The kids are still doing great. Dylan really loves his new class. His teacher, Ms. Leah, has been great. D has really learned so much already. It's amazing the amount of information he can absorb at school.
Oh, to have a young mind again. :)
He had a little excitement last week when his class went to the skating rink. It was his first time to skate and I was so proud at how well he did. Kinley and Jonah were with us, so I couldn't really go out and help him, but he did just dandy without my help.

Dylan did the skate race and foot race at the end, which I think was his favorite thing of the day. The kids did some dancing at the end, it was really cute to see them all so excited.
We went to Oak Mountain this past weekend because the weather was just too pretty to stay inside.

Kinley, of course, loved looking at all the animals. She was scared a couple times when the donkey would come at her too fast. But, my goodness, it's no surprise that my baby girl loves animals.

Well, that was a quick little update. I absolutely can't wait for the next few months. It's my favorite time of year. :) I'll be back again soon friends!

Love this!
If we don't take care of ourselves, no one else will. Besides, when we go to the chiro, get massage, take care of ourselves, it boosts our immune system.
You don't know how happy this post makes me & we are all in the same boat as Mother's!
I'm proud of you!!
