First things first, can we talk about the hilarity of this picture?? Dylan had to dress up like a 100 year old man for the 100th day of school. I'm a little ashamed to say that we didn't have to buy anything. We are really just that cool. haha!
He pretty much rocked the look. He said that he was a preacher. Dylan obviously thinks this is how a preacher would dress. Bless his bones.
D also had Jump Rope for Heart at his school. He raised over $100! He made videos encouraging friends and family to give to the American Heart Association. Then, we got to go to the school and watch his class jump rope. Kinley had the best time and hung right in there with the big kids. It was cute because they all were trying to help her and show her how to do it.
I promise this girl would go to Kindergarten tomorrow if she could.
The boys went one Saturday in January to see the Monster trucks at Monster Jam. This was Dylan's second year to go.
I've never been, but I heard it's super loud and smells like gas fumes. So, not that fun for girls. ;)
While I'm still talking about Dylan, he had his 6 year check up! He is in the 75th percentile for height and 65th for weight. He is 47 pounds and 47 inches!
Dylan also recently lost his second tooth. He had something called "shark tooth" going on down there on the bottom row. So, we were very happy when he finally got it out. He gets his long tooth roots from his momma! Weird, I know :)
We went to visit Tigers on Untamed Mountain. It was really cool. We had never been before and they didn't allow pics, but it was definitely something to remember. They have like 65 big cats and at one point we were totally surrounded by these creatures. Very cool to say the least. You can get so much closer to these than at the zoo. Needless to say, they were loving Kinley.
She thought they loved her so much. No one had the heart to tell her they loved her like we love pizza. She is so spoiled because when she finds something she loves like this white tiger, we can't bear to tell her no.
The next weekend we must have been feeling inspired because we got 3 betta fish. We didn't want to get carried away! haha Since we are gone a lot in the summer we figured it would be best to get something that wasn't high maintenance.
We were pretty bored one weekend, so on a whim we decided to ride to the Chattanooga Aquarium. I'm glad we did because we had a good time and it cured our cabin fever. We loved the butterfly room. They are the prettiest, most calming creatures. I'm always reminded of my mom when I see one.
They also had penguins! How cool are they?! (pun intended) I just love them.
They really had a lot of unique animals there. My other fav animal was the sea otter. They were so fast I couldn't get a good picture of the rascals.
We had some ice cream before heading home.
Dylan getting a cone wasn't his best idea ever! haha
We had a great time that and love taking day trips to fun places!
