As you can probably tell, we don't lead a very exciting life. Its always the same thing...but, that is not always a bad thing. I enjoy stablility! ha. This week was just one of those boring weeks. Lately, Dylan has been throwing a fit every morning when he gets ready for school. It really adds a level of intensity that I would prefer to do without in the mornings. Oh, and here is the weirdest part, when I go to pick him up he cries! (Thanks alot D, real sweet.) Ugh, it gets exhausting for both Chris and I. I really like the church daycare he attends and they do a good job with him, but sometimes, I think he just gets bored. Anywho, I am praying it is just a phase. Please Lord, let it be a phase.
This weekend was just a typical weekend for us. Saturday, we played in the pool and had fun. Dylan's newest interest is jumping off the ladder into the pool. (With someone to catch him of course!) He tries to be a little daredevil and do it backwards. ha! Sorry I don't ever have any good pool pics, but I am not about to take my good camera out there so someone can splash it. I keep telling myself I need to get a little point and shoot. Oh well! We went to my fav store, Target. Dylan got bunches of new fun toys: a Bubble Sword, Sidewalk Chalk, Water Wings, Stickers, Diving Fish for the pool, and a WaterPillar Sprinkler.
See? Don't these kids look like they are having the time of their lives?? I better hear screams of elation from Dylan!
Here he is writing on the driveway:
Sometimes I worry he might be getting spoiled. HAHA!
I made a delish broccolli salad that I saw Paula Deen make on her show. I will be serving it at the bridal shower I am throwing. :) Speaking of that, It has taken me some time to figure out how make the tissue paper pom pom flowers. I think I have finally figured it out. I assumed it would be a lot simpler. Not so. Its not rocket science, but its hard to get it all even and pretty.
This is totally off topic, but I love this children's book:
It's about a dino who learns that sharing is important if you want friends! It is funny and the illustrations are adorable. If you have a toddler, it is a must have!
Oh, and next time I post, I am going to show you a pic of my first watermelon on the vine! Yes, I have a baby melon. It's precious!
