Our Weekend

We had a super busy weekend. Friday night I had a mama's night out. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency (Wynfrey) hotel for the night....by myself! It was a really wonderful idea. It was nice to be able to, frankly, just do what *I* wanted for a few hours.

I shopped a lot in the Galleria and had room service that night. I had wanted to make it a trip to only buy for myself (I realize this sounds selfish, but y'all I never go shopping just for me). However, I couldn't pass up cute storefronts full of kid's clothes. Needless to say, Dylan & Kinley both got new stuff. Oh well, I tried.
The next morning, I had breakfast at the restaurant and headed back to reality. Chris says we will have to go back soon, as a date night for us. Chris and the kids had cleaned the house a bit when I got home, so that was nice to come home to.

Saturday morning was my nephew Jonah's 2nd birthday party!
It was the cutest theme, dump trucks. His momma, Nicole, did a great job planning everything. It was so cute!

The kids had a blast playing (and eating)! ha
They loved the huge bounce house.
Can you tell girlfriend loves her chocolate?! She ate like 3 mini chocolate donuts, or "spare tires" as they were called! ;) I made Jonah's shirt, btw. It turned out really cute.
That afternoon the kids were worn out, so we had to come back and have naptime!! Chris and I worked in the yard while they rested. Chris mows the front grass, while I mow the back on the riding mower. Poor Chris always has it harder than me. ;)
Sunday morning, Chris left for his final training week. Thank the Lord that is coming to a close. It's rough single parenting for a week with no adult convo. That afternoon we had fun though! We followed Derek, Nicole and the boys to 4D Farms. I'm not gonna lie, it's in the middle of nowhere.
Case in point:
Dylan totally passed out. Once you get there though, it's a fun place.

This jumper thing was so fun! We loved it.

They had a egg hunt there and the kids got to see the Easter bunny.
Kinley wasn't too sure, but she didn't cry at least.
This gigantic slide was one of Dylan's favorite things. Even Kinley and I took a trip down. She loved it too and wanted to go again.

Cow train!!!

Kinley literally hugged her little horse (Captain Crunch) when she got off.

We had blast and fun filled weekend, just the way we like them!

I'm so glad you posted. I've got to get to posting soon!
But I am SOOO extra glad you had a night like that. I told Josh I want to do that sometime. I think it's refreshing & brilliant.
Hoping you have a quick week alone, my friend. I can always come by if you need company!
