Mimi's Birthday and Little Projects!

Friday was my mom's birthday! We took her out to eat Friday night, then went back to our house so we could have cake and she could open her presents.

Happy Birthday Mother!
I love you so much & you are the best mom and mimi ever!!!
The one downer of the night was that after we had dinner and we were walking back to my car, I noticed that someone had hit my car in the parking lot while I was at UAB earlier in the day.
My poor car :(
That kinda stuff really makes me mad. Thanks to that rude person, I have to pay to have my car fixed. Newsflash to that person...it is NOT ok to randomly vandalize people's cars and not bother to take responsibility!

Anywho, on to more fun things...I had Chris make Dylan some shelves for his room! I wish I could have said I made them, but c'mon...I don't do woodwork! I did spray paint them though!! ; )

Dylan has sooo many books and I wanted to have a neat little place for him to store them. We are trying to make his room a little more "big boy". Just to be honest, he doesn't spend that much time in his room because it is upstairs; and our upstairs is on a separate air conditioner. We only turn the air on upstairs at night while he is sleeping, so our air conditioner bill is not $600 or more. However, with the cooler weather, he should be able to spend more time in his room. I still have a couple more projects planned for his room as well!

A little more excitement, I got my fall decorations out of the attic. (Well, I made Chris get them because it is too toasty for me in the attic. Remember, you always need a delegater of duties! haha)
I LOVE fall!

I love the fall smells, fall decorations, the bright crispy air, fall fashions, and the impending excitement of Christmas!
I have been buying ornaments for months now.
Here are a couple new ones I picked up last week.

Aren't they pretty? I am just going to leave them hanging until Christmas they look so pretty!
I'm just so ready for Christmas time..yea, I'm crazy, I know.
