Christmas Cheer Anyone?

This has been a busy week for the Eaton’s. I was spoiled last week with the short work week. The drive home from where I work has been horrible lately! I work in the busiest shopping area in the state. It is so dark, there is sooo much traffic, and it’s cold (and lately, rainy). All I see is brake lights for miles. It takes me 45 min to an hour to get home and that is if traffic is just ok. I could not help but take a pic of it Friday on with my phone. Ugh…

Thursday night, I dragged into the Christmas parade in a bad mood because everyone else was already there with their families drinking hot chocolate, snuggled up, laughing, and having a great time. I was driving home lonely, in the traffic. It sucked. Once I got to the parade and met up with my boys, Derek and Nicole… I felt better. I ended up drinking hot chocolate and enjoying myself. ; ) I was really proud of our town. It was a really nice parade. I heard it's one of the biggest Christmas parade's in the state.

 Santa was there!
Thank you Lord I was not that lady in the blue cookie monster get-up. I would like to think I am too cool for that, but probably not!
Sorry...just let me do a zoom in because I really want you to get the full effect of this....
Sorry...it just makes me laugh.

Saturday was my sis-in-law's graduation from nursing school. We were all prepared for the typically long ceremony. It turned out to be only 45 min. long. We brought Dylan's DVD player and a secret stash of M&M's. We really didn't need either one. He did pretty good and clapped after every graduate received their diploma! Yay Nicole!!!

We went to BridgeStreet afterwards for lunch at Connor's Steakhouse. It was really good. I had Shrimp and Grits and Chris had the Filet. D had the kids pizza :)

 D rode the carousel!
He loved it and was devastated when he had to get off. It was so funny, Chris was all like "Dylan you need to ride on the big lion" and Dylan was like "no, horse!" Well, he was really talking about the zebra because if you remember Dylan thinks zebras are horses. He loves him some "horses"(zebras).

Tomorrow we are planning on getting our real Christmas tree. No, we don't go to a tree farm...we go about 4 miles down the road to Lowe's. What can I say, sometimes you just have to make life easier!
