Roast Anyone?

I must tell you about this awesome crock pot roast!!! :) I cannot take credit for it. I got it from a blog I really like, Laurie's Life. It is sooo easy and delish. And, oh my gosh, the house smelled divine. Chris, Dylan and I loved it and my friend Paige came for a visit and she had to have the recipe as well. It is wonderful on a cold night.

This is a google image, but yours could look this good!

Get a tender chuck pot roast and place it in a crock pot on low.

Let me just say right here at the first do not add any water at any point!! I promise, don't you do it! haha

Add one packet of Hidden Valley Ranch mix. Sprinkle it over the roast.

Add one packet of McCormick Aux Jus gravy mix. Sprinkle that packet over the roast as well.

Place a stick of butter on top of the roast. This is what will make your liquid. ; )

Put 4 or 5 pepperoncini peppers on top of the roast. We got these on the international food aisle or some folks put them on salads, so they could be in that section. They come in a jar.

4 hours into the cooking, we added potatoes(peeled and cut into large chunks), baby carrots, and sliced onion. Again, don't add water.

Let the roast continue cooking another 4 hours.

My crockpot tip, spend the 3 bucks on these...

They are WELL worth it, because they totally make clean up a snap. I think 4 liners comes in each box. And no, they don't make the food taste weird.

Oh, and one other tip, don't add any salt because those packet mixes have plenty of salt.

Trust me, you will want to try this!! :)
