Friday Night
Friday night, we had some pretty bad storms come through our area, so that night was very uneventful. We basically sat around watching tv, ready to hurry off to the basement. Luckily, we never needed to.
{Dylan looked so cute in my glasses}
Saturday
Saturday we woke up and got to work! We put out new pine straw in our flower beds (which we have to do about 3 times a year). I picked out some really pretty flowers from Lowes. Usually their flowers are just kinda so-so, but they had some really unique plants. Here are some I bought:
I have to show off one of my flowers I grew from a bulb...
My sweet roses
It was so cute because as we working in the yard Dylan was playing with my ceramic decorative bunny. He has a fascination with ceramic and acrylic animals! (think back to his raccoon friend).
He told me that the bunny was "watching the cars with him".
He then rocked the bunny and started singing to it like I sing to him when he tells me to "hold him like a baby". It was sooo precious.
We also mowed, edged, and trimmed my mom's yard. I got a little treat at Sonic for all my hard work. :)
Sunday
We woke up late Sunday morning. Plus, I just wasn't feeling all that great Sunday morning so we missed church and Chris made a Walmart run for us. Thank you Lord for such a sweet man that will go to Walmart with a list I made out for him. I don't shop at Walmart for several reasons, so he is such a sweetie for doing that.
We decided to get out and enjoy the pretty weather though. We had lunch at La Paz. Dylan really enjoyed himself. He pretty much would only eat chips. To each his own I guess!!
I found this awesome nail stuff at Walgreens. It is Sally Hansen Nail Effects. I got "Kitty Kitty" but they have all different prints and colors. They are so fun and super easy. So far they have not even chipped!! I'm pretty impressed.
Oh, and one other thing I have to tell you about is this...
Your eyes do not decieve you. All you do is add milk and instant milkshake. I would probably add just a touch of vanilla extract next time to make it taste even more homemade. They are really good! Chris bought ours at Walmart.

Fun post. I love your nails. I'm going to Walgreen's tomorrow just to get Sally Hansen Nail Effects. Very cool! Pretty sure my 18 yr old daughter will love them too.
