A Hotel Wonderland!

We decided to visit the Opryland Hotel in Nashville for Labor Day weekend. If you have never been, you are seriously missing out. It is an amazingly beautiful place with trees, plants, flowers and water everywhere! And it's all indoors!!
This was Dylan's first trip to Nashville. I'm pretty sure he had a great time since he was a wild maniac in the hotel room. How is it every time we go to a hotel with paper thin walls he decides it's time to let loose!?!
One other thing Dylan loved was getting to ride the shuttle bus! He kept asking us when the bus was coming to pick us up! haha Keep in mind it only picked us up once!

Here are some of my favorite pics...
Can you see this cute monkey plant?...
 Gorgeous!
This was in one of the lobbies.....it was amazing!!! Made from glass and I don't know if you can tell, but it's huge!

We went a little boat ride through the hotel. I didn’t take any pics on the ride because it was so cramped, but they were so kind as to have a $20 picture waiting on us available to purchase. Haha! I passed since we had just spent $20 to ride the boat.
I have so many awesome pics, but yet pics still don't do this place justice.
We really had a great time eating pizza at a little pizza place and eating yummy cookies for lunch.
I have always loved visiting here and it brings back such happy memories! :)

One other thing, I don't want to forget...on the way there we went through Franklin, TN. Be still my heart, it is very similar to Fairhope (one of my favorite cities ever!) It has that cute old downtown area with precious (but very expensive) shops. We had lunch at a place called HRH Dumplin's.
It was so cute, and of course, we had the chicken and dumplings. They were good, but still not as good as my moms!
Then we spotted a Ben & Jerry's, so we stopped in and got us a treat. :)
We were driving so I couldn't really get any pics, but there are some beautiful homes in that area!! They are huge and have sooo much land! We went through one area and it was one mansion after another behind huge gates. I couldn't help but think people assocoiated with country music lived there. I was loving it!
Well, that was the short version of our little trip. We had a great time, but then again I always do with my boys! :)
