Eastery Things

We had a low-key Easter this year, but honestly it was really nice. Sometimes it's nice to not focus on trying to do everything. Chris and I just exchanged cards this year and we normally get each other a little something. Well, he did get me some peeps and a chocolate bunny ;)
We did dye Easter eggs because I like to do that even as an adult. ; ) I bought this new kind of dye that comes with the cups and it was great. There was no mess at all.
We all had our eggs...

Dylan's daycare was closed on Good Friday so it was my first day at home with both the kids all day by myself. It was fun, but stressful. I must have told him to leave his sissy alone 200 times. Sometimes Dylan just will not listen and I get so frustrated with him. Then he will tell me, "oh, sissy's pretty like you". He sooo knows what he is doing.  ; )
Anyway, Friday we played bubbles on the porch because the weather was perfect.

Kinley really enjoyed herself watching the bubbles...
The Easter bunny came to see them Saturday night! I think he knew about our plan of scaling back a bit.
D loved the fishing game he got. He has really been into fishing lately.
Kinley got this cute little baby chick toy and Dylan broke it within a couple hours. Poor Kiwi!
We went to the 11:00 Easter service at church. It was Kinley's first time to go to church, how cool is that, on Easter! She was good and slept the whole time.
We went through the Jim N Nicks drive-thru for our big Easter lunch. :) We had Niki's the night before so I'm counting that as our more authentic Easter meal. I had to get some pics of K in her pretty Easter dress and shoes when we got home and I happened to catch this picture of her smiling. I love it.

That afternoon we let Dylan hunt eggs and then of course he had to hide them for us to find. The sad thing was he kept telling us exactly where they were! haha Sweet boy, he'll figure it out.
Needless to say we had a wonderful Easter with our little nuggets. I love them so much, I'm so blessed.
