I'm wiped! The past few days have been insanely busy and, frankly, I'm exhausted. It's a good exhausted though. Chris and I were able to take a little fall trip to the beach.
I just love the beach at fall. It's so relaxed and everyone there really loves the beach, not just "the beach" (if that makes sense).
At sunset...
My in-laws so graciously kept Dylan and Kinley while we were gone so we could have a break. I have not had more than a couple hour break from the kids in months. Don't get me wrong, I love those little munchkins more than life itself, but my sanity is important too! haha
We had THE BEST time. We didn't quite know how to handle ourselves at first, but we figured it out pretty quick.
We eat GOOD let me tell you! I feel like I will never be hungry again. Good thing we are starting our training Monday. We'll need a month to work off the pounds we probably gained on this trip! ha
Steak, Seafood, Lobster, Desserts! Yum!
We met my bf since second grade and her hubby at Cobalt Thursday night.
Our dinner lasted hours and we had the best time just laughing and catching up.
This is like the only picture I took with my real camera.
I was missing my babies so much we decided to go home a day early. I know, I know, I had never spent a night away from Kinley, so I was pretty proud I made it 3 nights! We rode up and spent the night at Chris' parent's house Saturday night. That afternoon we had a little time so we went to a neighbor's pond to fish with Dylan. We didn't catch anything but a 6 ft. alligator. He just grabbed on and bit Poppy's line.
I thought he was all cute and sweet until he started coming to us and then I was all "save yourself"!!! ha
It was a pretty big pond actually and it was on the cutest piece of land...
It's actually a nursery where they grow the pretty roses and such you buy at Lowe's.
We had dinner at Golden Ranch that night and stayed up wayyy too late talking to Chris' brother, Nathan.
It was fun though.
Chris' dad is actually a pastor, so on our way home Sunday morning we were able to attend services at his church. Everyone was so nice and it was a sweet church.
I'm loving being back with my babes, but I'm scared because the kids were sooo spoiled by their Granny and Poppy. Literally, K's poppy rocked her in the recliner the entire 4 days! This week will be a dose of reality for them.
We had a fabulous weekend, but I'm soooo glad to be home in my own bed. There is truly no place like home.
