Christmas was once again, "the most wonderful time of the year, with holiday greetings and..." Ok, I know you're probably sick of Christmas carols, so I'll lay off a bit. ;)
We did have a great Christmas season though. I absolutely loved Dylan's age this year. He was sooo into everything magical about Christmas and there is nothing like experiencing Christmas through a child's eyes. Kinley got into a few things too...like she actually liked Shane & Sophie, our elves this year. Sophie came to us this year for the first time and she and Shane were pretty darn cute together.
The first night they came they brought the kids some elf pjs.
Of course, they got into the sweets.
Every morning, Kinley would be calling for "Sophieeeee" and "eeeelves" on the way down from her bed. Even after they went home, she still called for them which was kinda sad actually.
We visited the McWane Center's Winter Wonderland. I take the kids every year. They have a little train (that made me dizzy, btw) and an "Ice Slide" and trains and just a bunch of neat stuff Dylan and Kinley liked.
We also go to Zoolight Safari every year at the zoo. We're zoo members, so it's totally free fun. Love it!
It was soo pretty this year.
How fun is this, Dylan got to be on our local NBC news live spot! Of course, that was his first time on the news, so he was really excited. I was able to use my Uverse app to DVR the news really quick so we were able to watch it when we got home.
Dylan had his party at school too. I planned it, so it wasn't a big surprise for him since he had seen everything beforehand. He said he had a really good time though. :) We did a Santa theme which looked really cute.
Oh my goodness, Dylan and I went to see Frozen together (wish Kinley could have went, but we have taken her to a movie before and she just can't sit through one yet) anyway, it was soo good. I think everyone with children has seen it, but if you haven't, you should. :)
So, we were busy bees this month as you can see.
I'll share our Christmas Eve & Day in a part two!
