Dylan has a potty! We went ahead and bought him one so he could get used to seeing it and sitting on it. He is 17 months old so, hopefully, by next month we can start the "official" training. This is the one we chose:
It plays music..thankfully, because I don’t think D would have gotten near it if it didn’t. He will finally sit on it now, but only if we play the music. :)
We had big plans of going to the McWane Center today, but we changed our minds. We shopped for awhile and then hung out at my mom’s. It has been a rainy, stormy day here. Sometimes, I actually enjoy the sound of thunder. It can be sorta magical I guess.
Yesterday, I made a breakfast casserole that I found on a blog. It was pretty good. Chris enjoyed it more than I did. But, I also made some Monkey Bread to go along with it. Wow..It was heavenly. I mean have you ever boiled brown sugar and butter?? Um, if you haven't, then don't. (Unless you want to weigh 500 pounds) It is really a shame that I had never made monkey bread before yeasterday.
Since, this is pretty much a scrapbook for me...I want to include a few things about Dylan, so when I have this blog printed into a book I will have it!!!
Dylan has learned yes and no. Some questions always provoke the same answers with him. Like, "Are you hungry?" is always a yes and "Do you need to be changed?" is always no. He will also try to say almost anything we tell him. The one thing he has never attempted to say is "Love You". This makes me sad because Chris and I tell him that ALL the time. He just refuses to say it! Oh, and one last thing...he said his first sentence yesterday, "Daddy Home". It almost made me cry. We love him so much we can hardly stand it sometimes.
