Dirty Santa: Ornament Edition

I still can't get over how fast December flew by. It felt like it was a week long! I never believed people when they said "oh time flies", but when you get to my age, it does! haha Still not sure what we will be doing for New Year's. We could have went to the beach. In fact, we already had our room picked out, but looking ahead at the rainy weather, we decided against it. We even thought about Nashville, but it is going to be crazy busy with New Years and the big game. We aren't ready to deal with Dylan and his wild self in all that mess.  Anyway, I say all that to say, we will probably just be hanging around the house having our own little party. Chris said he would even cook! Yummy :)
Wednesday night my mom and I went to Dirty Santa: Ornament Edition with a group of ladies. We have been to this same dirty santa party for the past 3 years and it is always a lot of fun! I mean these ladies are serious! They are all like professional shoppers and you better not take someone's ornaments they have had their eye on because you will get cut! haha Most people start buying the ornaments months in advance. There were 16 of us, and my mom got lucky and drew number 16 so she got her pick of all the ornaments! No one could steal hers! I wish I had taken pictures of hers because they were to die for. Seriously, they were the cutest ornaments ever! I did pretty well for myself too. I did not get my first pick, but I did get my second pick. I got a grab bag full....
Aren't those light up ones precious??? They are Department 56!
(Department 56 and Raz make the best ornaments ever)

And these are glass and prettier in person.
We really had a bunch of fun and I have to say, we look forward to it every year. :)

This is from Poppy. I can't get this most blessed computer to co operate so I have to send my comments anonymous. This past week we had several unjoyful events among our members. It made Gran and I realized how blessed we are to have such a wonderful, loving and kind daughter (in-law) God never gave us a little girl but we are happy He blessed us with Ashley. I know CHris realizes how blessed he his. P.S. that little grandson ain't bad either. May God bless and keep you close to His call. Poppy
