Sunshine, Flowers, and Fun

This weekend was filled with warm, sunny weather.

It was in the 70's!! This is the kind of weather I 'm supposed to live in! :) We kicked off the weekend Friday night with dinner at a little Italian restaurant with "Big D and Nic Nic". Dylan hammed it up the whole time.

Afterwards, we had "Fro Yo" (frozen yogurt) at a new place in town called, YOLO. It stands for" you only live once." I think that's so catchy. They also have huge yummy cupcakes and candy! LOVE IT

Since I was watching my calories, I did not partake in the cupcakes. Ha! (Sure, Ash...Sure)

Saturday, the weather was gorgeous. We spent most of the day outside enjoying it!
D loved playing with all his toys outside.

He loves this ceramic raccoon, don't know why, he just does. We usually keep it in the garden, but he thinks it's his now.
We went to Lowe's to get some Pansies and we bought some Hosta and Gladiolas on a whim. I can't wait until this spring/summer when we can see how pretty they look. Planting those bulbs and roots isn't all that fun!
I don't think I showed ya'll my cute camera strap that I got for Christmas from Chris. It's a "Cotton Candy"
strap. This is not the best pic, but it's already on my camera, so it was difficult to even get this pic.
It's so girly!!

Sunday we had a wonderful time at church. I am excited because Chris and I are now sponsoring a baby from Sonrise Baby Home. Her name is Sanyu, and she is 2 just like Dylan. She is so cute!!
Sonrise is a christian home for malnourished children in Uganda. Most of these children come from the saddest of homes. Sonrise gives these children a loving place to call home where they can grow in the grace of Jesus Christ.
Dylan did well in his Sunday school class again. He made a couple crafts and told us he played with toys. Ha! We also surprised him with a new toddler's bible. He was pretty excited about that.

After the busy weekend, I am going to relax on this cloudy Sunday afternoon. Since Dylan is already napping, I might just take one myself! ;)
