Staying Busy

We've been pretty busy lately, well, because naturally we would be, but I've also tried to keep myself busy. I've wanted to keep my mind occupied.
It's been kinda crazy actually. The night my mom went to Heaven, Kinley had to take her first trip to the ER. I know, crazy. The Lord helped me get through with humor. That's all I can say. Ha! My SIL is a pediatric nurse and was pretty sure we needed to take her. So, we left for the ER at about 10:00 pm.
She was wheezing very badly, in fact, she sounded like a little dog. It was pitiful. We ended up only being at Children's Hospital for 2.5 hours. Considering the waiting room was packed and the valet guy told us it was going to be a 7 hour wait, I was pretty pleased. Her wheezing was so bad and she was so young they moved us right along and we got to go immediately back the "real" waiting area. The doctor said Kinley had bronchilitis, but her oxygen levels were good. I felt so blessed that was all it was.
Poor baby! (yes, they spelled her last name wrong)
This was after midnight. She was sooo tired.
Anyway, in more fun happenings, we went to the zoo last week. We actually went on Chris' birthday. I know he had a total blast ::rolls eyes:: There is only so much you can do with kiddos though. Dylan got to feed the giraffes. I had fun being so close to them too.

Dylan wasn't even scared to feed them, I was pretty shocked. We went with Derek, Nicole and Jonah to eat at Mugshots afterwards. I know that Chris did enjoy that. ;) The fried pickles are heavenly.
I've done a few little projects around the house too. I wanted to get rid of my "door screen", so I opted for curtains and I LOVED how it turned out!
I also re-stained my back swing. It gets so much sun, so you really have to keep it stained good.
Before & After:
Saturday, Chris and I splurged and got ourselves a babysitter so we could go out for a little birthday dinner for his big 3-1!
We went to J. Alexanders and I have to admit we had the very best carrot cake I have ever had in my life. The cream cheese icing was warm, just sayin.
Sunday we went to a church picnic for the young families. Dylan's little friend was there! They are so stinkin cute together.

Me and my mini me!! It was such a nice day for a picnic. (my brother and Jonah are in the background)
I have to include some pics of Kinley before church because she just looked so sweet.

Today we've tried to enjoy the pretty day and fight the Monday boredom.

Love these two little rascals so much! I want to take a little day trip somewhere with them this week or maybe go camping this weekend. Who knows, I'll come up with something!
