My Mary Kay Review

About a week ago I got the Mary Kay Voxbox from Influenster! Can I just say how much I love getting stuff for free...I mean, who doesn't?! 

There were a lot of nice products included. I have to admit Mary Kay isn't my go to cosmetic brand. I was excited to try it out though. (I had heard they had stepped up their game)

I'll go through the products, starting with my fav first.

1. Mary Kay Lash Primer

This is just a clear primer you put on before you apply your mascara. Simple enough (just make sure to let it dry first before you apply your mascara). It really did lengthen my lashes. I usually like my lashes to be on the thicker side, but this was a nice change and I felt like it really added a decent length.

2. Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara (Black)

This mascara complimented the lash primer nicely. Went on easy and stayed on. I would definitely say this is a lengthening mascara and won't add thickness if that is what you are going for. However, I would recommend it for a lengthening mascara!

3. Mary Kay Cream Eye Color (Violet Storm)

This eye shadow is super easy to apply. (It came with the MK brush) The color scared me at first, but once I put it on, it actually became rather neutral in color. I liked how it felt going on and the ease of application. I would recommend it!

4. Mary Kay True Dimensions Lip Stick (Pink Cherie)

My least favorite item was the lipstick. I have to admit, I'm kinda addicted to Fresh Sugar Lip products. It's hard to mess with that loyalty. It could have something to do with the color, because I'm not a pink lipstick girl at all. Cool tones just don't work that great with my skin. I always end up looking like a Barbie doll head that a little girl did a makeover on. The few times I tried to get it out of the holder it kinda made a mess. But, that's just my opinion.

Overall, I liked the products and it's not just an "old lady" brand. Thanks MK for sending them to me for review! Loved the eye products best!
