Dylan started preschool Tuesday and I'm so proud of how well he has done! Since I became a SAHM mom in July he has just be hanging out with me and Kinley during the day. That obviously isn't enough activity for him. He was very bored and even though we tried to learn and do fun things I knew he needed something more structured. I started trying to pursue something last month. Frankly, because in March when most preschools in our area are enrolling for the fall, I was still working and had no idea that I would have the opportunity to stay home with the kiddos. I feel confident that we got him in a really good program. Everyone has been so nice and welcoming to Dylan.
How cute was he on his first day?
He is shy, so I was really happy when his teacher told me that he was talking up a storm on the 3rd day. I hope he not only learns a lot, but also gains social skills. Not that he has a problem or anything, just the more socialization the better, right? Plus, it's a Christian program and they learn to be Godly children and learn Bible verses too!! Love that.
He goes Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for 4 hours each day.
He is in the older K-3 class because with a November birthday he will always be one of the oldest kids in his class.
He really seems excited to go and likes to help pack his snack for each day.
I hope he keeps enjoying going to school! Whenever we drive by the elementary school he says, "when I get big, I can go there!" :)
