Things have been kinda crazy around here lately. Last week when Dylan got home from preschool, he threw up. He was sick the rest of the night and the next day. Saturday he was feeling better and was running a very low grade fever. We just assumed the slight fever was due to him getting his 4 yr old shots that past Wednesday since a lot of the time those vaccines will cause that. Boy were we wrong! He woke up about 3:30 am Sunday morning crying from pain and his fever was over 103. :( It was awful let me tell you. It was all I could do to not cry in front of him. Sunday morning, Chris took Dylan to the doctor. My brother was being re-baptized and re-committing his faith that morning at church, so I felt it was important that I be there in support of him. So Kinley and I headed to church. On the way home from church, Chris texted me that Dylan tested positive for Flu Type A.
Since then it has been so rough on him. Chris and I just keeping saying how pitiful it is and how we wish we could take it away from him. His little eyes are soo red, swollen, and weak. He has no energy. At least now he will talk to us. Sunday and Monday morning he would hardly talk even if we asked him something. I even baked him cookies and he wouldn't eat one.
It was even more sad because we were supposed to go on the North Pole Express Train Sunday night. I bought the tickets in July (yes, I'm nuts). If you don't buy them at that time though they sell out. We had to sell our tickets. I may have more upset about that than Dylan.
He is getting better though and requests to play at times. I don't want him to over do it though. He needs his rest! I keep praying he will get better fast!
In other news, we finally hung my shutters!! I have been wanting these for a very long time. I always felt that when they built this house it was meant to have shutters on the main window and they just left them off. We had to custom order them, so when we FINALLY got them, I had to stain them.
Here is the before:
And now the after:
I love them! Here they are at night with our Christmas lights.
Let me throw in a couple happy pics of the kids before I go! I'll end it on a good note.
