This past week was Dylan's Spring Break. Without any structure in his life, he wants to sit on the couch, watch tv and snack all day. Probably not the healthiest thing for him, although you can't admit that doesn't sounds fun. ;) So, we hit up some of the local 'kid' places to keep us from going stir crazy.
We have a membership to the zoo and we get in for free. It was a given we were going there. Everyone else and their brother (oh, and their brother's cousins) had the same idea.
It was still fun and Dylan begged me to ride the carousel. I knew I was going to have to give into it or the train, and the carousel didn't require me riding, so you can see what I chose. Ha!
They had a new traveling dino exhibit there too. I think it said there were 15 animatronic dinosaurs. They all moved and talked, and Kinley loved them so much. Baby girl loves her some animals! Dylan refused to get out of the wagon so I think he wasn't quite sure what to think.
We also went to the bowling alley. It was Dylan's first time bowling. Of course, it was Kinleys too, but obvs, she didn't bowl so I won't count this as her first time :)
D loved it and did really good. I'm always reminded why I don't ever go bowling...quite frankly, I stink at it. Not my talent at all.
I was proud of D though.
Oh, and one thing I want to remember about this day...while on the way to lunch Dylan told Chris..."this is my best day ever daddy!" Eeekk! Melt my heart. He can be such a sweetie sometimes.
Finally, we went to Chuck E. Cheese. Yes, you read that right. I new one opened up on 280, so we decided to take the kids. I haven't been in one since I was a little kid. It was kinda small actually. One thing that I did like is all the games are .25 cents. The arcades at the beach are like $1 a play, so the kids got to do a lot more stuff at C.E.C. It was super busy the day we went so they kinda just had to play on the stuff that was available.
We had Mexican and Sweet Frog for lunch. Yums! My eating wasn't real healthy that day. It was worth it though. YOLO!
So, yea, I think we hit up almost every kid activity that week. I think Chris and I need a medal, just sayin.
But really, we had a great time with our babies!
I'm so blessed to be able to spend my days with these munchkins
I wouldn't trade it for the world!!
