Happy 2014!
I always like the feeling of starting fresh in the new year. I've never done well on my resolutions, so I'm not making any this year. I'll just kinda try things as I go and give myself more grace this year.
Our New Years Eve wasn't very eventful. I had a migraine and poor Dylan got a little too active in the bounce house after a big lunch and got sick for the rest of the night. He ended up falling asleep about 7:30.
Kinley, Chris and I watched a Cops marathon. It never fails to make me laugh. Keep in mind, I'm in a migraine medication haze here so excuse my looks.
New Years Day we were all better!
So, we went to look at new houses in a different area. We have prayed about it and feel like it's just the right thing to do...for many reasons. The biggest reason is we want our kids to have the best resources and opportunities. Right now, we are just doing our research and looking for the areas & schools we like. Our house isn't even for sale yet. We managed to mark a couple neighborhoods off our list due to small lot size and the school system. I actually have chosen my favorite neighborhood so far, but there are only a handful of homes in that area and they are actually not brand new. So, of course, less choices. I'm willing to do a little work, but no major remodeling. There is actually only one home for sale in the neighborhood right now. I highly suspect, I'll have to come up with other options for neighborhoods.
I don't have a real timeline yet for moving, but if I had my way it would be within the year, but Chris seems to think that would be pushing it. I'm just putting it in God's hands and I know He will work it all out perfectly.
It was cold that day, but we let the kids play at one of the neighborhood parks. Hey, we had to try it out! ;)
I love taking pictures of them walking away like this...
Cheers to 2014!
