My favorite day of the year is Christmas Eve. You still have all the excitement of Christmas Day ahead, but you are right in the thick of it all! I think it's the kids fav day too. I always remember as a child the excitement of that night. We always rode and looked at Christmas lights which is something we still do now. I have one favorite neighborhood that I just have to drive through. It's so quaint and it's pretty much like a movie.
Christmas Eve the Yarbroughs came over and we cooked ribs and a ton of other yummy sides.
We exchanged presents and played with all the new toys!
Big D read Pete the Cat. Kinley loves it, but Jonah hates most anything Pete the Cat. He freaks over it.The only book he likes is "Pete the Cat Saves Christmas".
We did manage to get a pic of all the kids together and no one was crying. That's a success in our book.
After they left and we went to look at Christmas lights, it was time to prepare for Santa.
Dylan & Kinley sprinkled the reindeer food on the lawn.
We also prepared the cookies and milk for Santa and told our elves, Shane and Sophie, goodbye.
Bye y'all! It's always fun!!
And guess what?! Santa came that night!! Woohoo! He wrapped the kids presents which he has never done before.
Dylan and his bedhead!
Kinley got a puppy surprise! I loved those things when I was little.
Christmas day we opened more gifts and played outside with our new outdoor toys since the weather was so nice.
{Chris knows how to pick out some gifts}
Kinley didn't take off this Frozen robe for days.
Dylan loves his new bike!
And his pitching machine D and N got him!
We had a wonderful Christmas and Dylan especially is really understanding the reason for Christmas. He told us randomly as we were riding looking at lights, "Christmas is more than the lights and presents...it's really about Jesus". That's so right baby, so right!
