The Graduates

Well, it's official we now have a first grader on our hands! Dylan graduated Kindergarten with flying colors. Dylan, honest to goodness, did so well this year that it even surprised me. He had a perfect conduct report...all smiley faces. He made 100 or above on all spelling tests and even made all E's (Excellent) on his report cards. He never complained about having to go to school either. He loved it (and his teacher, Mrs. Hadaway) actually!  I mean, talk about waiting for the other shoe to drop. It never did though. He was pretty much a rockstar.

You know I have to do a first day and last day comparison!

We were so proud of our graduate!

Dylan did really good during the graduation celebration. It was in the high school auditorium. They sang several songs like Yellow Submarine and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. I may or may not have cried. We'll just let that ride. haha
We watched their class movie and then they called each child's name and they hugged their teacher.
Afterwards, we went to Uncle Nate's apartment for lunch and some fun in the sun. The pool was closed for water/chemical issues so that gave us a good laugh...of all the days! haha

Chris also let Dylan play hooky from school one day and go to a Baron's game as a little treat for doing so well in school this year.

Congratulation Dylan!! You did an excellent job!

I can't forget to recognize another sweetheart that did excellent her first year of preschool! Kinley "graduated" from K-2!
Here are her first and last day pics.

Those look dramatically different to me. How sad! :( It's bittersweet watching your babies grow up.
Kinley's class had an end of the year party at Chick fil a. They got the cutest summer buckets filled with goodies.
Kinley is going to miss Ms. Tara and Ms. Cristy so much!

Needless to say, I've had a few weepy days. I'm proud of both Dylan and Kinley but a little part of me wants them to stay little forever. I do realize though that they are ready for their next adventure and this mama needs to let them fly.
