Animal Friends

Ok so, I have to brag on Dylan for a bit. Well, really this is a record for me because I am having this blog printed at the end of the year! I can’t wait. This is my kind of scrapbooking!! Anywho, This child knows some animals. We go through his animal book almost every night and he has some superior animal identifying skills.

D can tell almost of the animals apart and even knows the difference between say, an owl, and other birds. Oh, and he may even be a little smarter than me because the other night I asked him “where is the duck?” …He looked at me crazy and I kept saying “where is the duck, baby?” Chris then informed me that there was in fact no duck on the page, but a chick I thought was a duck. Oh well, Chicken, Duck, they both have feathers right? (And yes, I know the difference between and chicken and duck for goodness sake!) He knows all his body parts. Yea for D! And here is the scariest part; he knows things we haven’t even taught him. For example, uh, he can unlock and play with my iphone, he knows how to use the TV changer, he says words we never taught him…when your 18 month old knows slang, its time to beef up on the grammar a bit. The word “no” has became very popular in his vocabulary. Everything is “no”. I mean everything. If he does like the way I am sitting it’s “mama no”. Oh gracious, my munch man knows so much, it still shocks me sometimes. I guess I will never be ready for him to grow up!
