It has been a gorgeous weekend! However, Saturday started out rough. Chris woke up with a virus, poor thing. So, it was a lazy day. I cleaned the house all morning; then I worked on the invitations for a bridal tea I am organizing. I love doing fun girly stuff like that. I wish I could get into event planning professionally, but I honestly have no clue how to start. Oh, and the bad thing is, you have to work whenever the event is, which is usually Friday night and Saturday and those days are reserved for my two boys! :) Half way through printing out the invites the computer died…yes, died. Weird, I know. It wasn’t a huge deal because Chris and I both have laptops, but it still sucks because that is the computer that Chris uses to work from home. He says it is not worth fixing. Oh well! He just hooked the printer up to his laptop and we got them finished. They are so cute. Sunday, was a busier day. We all went to Lowe’s so I could pick out my flowers and Chris could get some pinestraw.
Chris actually put out 18 bales of pinestraw in our yard on Sunday in all the heat. Bless him! I had eye issues, so I planted my flowers in the shade. Back to the eye issues, I might as well start saving for Lasik now because my contacts keep dealing me fits. I have worn contacts for years and years, and never had issues until about 3 months ago. It is so frustrating. Anywho, I took a nap Sunday afternoon, while my little worker bee Chris changed the oil in my car and his. Then he took Dylan to Walmart so I could sleep a little longer…and guess what he had me when I woke up?? A milkshake. :) Yummy! I have the best hubby ever! I watched Dylan play in the sprinkler later that afternoon. D loved the sprinkler.
However, he threw quite the little fit when we came back inside. He has started throwing things when he doesn’t get his way. He actually threw these decorative balls that I have in a bowl in my dining room. Wow, he got in big trouble for that. Even though Chris and I have dealt with our own little illness’ this weekend, we had a lot of fun and always enjoy spending time with each other. We love watching D do the funniest things. I hope this stage lasts a while, it has been the most fun!
