Snow & Entertainment

It's February and that means it's that much closer to Spring. Yay! We have had quite the snowy/icy conditions lately and I pretty much hate it. ;) That's why I live in Bama people! I think the news was calling it Gridlock 2014. I watched the news for like 2 days straight. I don't advise that, just saying. It was the first time in my life anything like that has happened.
Dylan's life was pretty much made by playing in the snow. Loved every minute of it.
Kinley, on the other hand, acted like you just took her new puppy away. Drama is her specialty though. :) She hated it, just like she hates sand!

Once we got her on our homemade sled, she loosened up and had fun. Can you tell this is a car creeper? haha It has wheels, but the kids might as well have been sledding in Vail. So much fun.
So awkward topic segue, but Chris took Dylan to his first wrestling match. Chris has a friend that is a good friend of Sting the wrestler so they got front row tickets for free! This is a picture I took of them from the TV. It was live so I had to watch like an hour of it to find them. Uh, an hour of my life I'll never get back.
Here it is zoomed in, poor little Dylan's head is blocked by the gate.
Chris was gone for a week in January. A full week. 6 whole days y'all...by myself. Yep, 24/6 with the kids. The kids were sweet, I really can't complain about them, but I just got a little lonely that's all. (Even though, I think I heard "Mama" 1,000 times a day.) I tried to keep busy and do stuff with friends.
We went to the Botanical Gardens one day when the weather was gorgeous. I only had like 3 embarrassing moments where I had to yank Kinley up from some awkward, fit throwing episode. Not too shabby! ;) Most moms were really nice and would just smile that "girl, I've been there" smile.

Dylan was such a big helper that week.

Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent?! ha I love her to pieces, but let's be real... If sis ain't happy, nobody is happy. ;)
We also met my sweet friend Melinda and her daughter, Ellie, at the McWane Center. D had a blast and, of course, K did too! She thought she was 5 too!

Kinley picked up a random kid's field trip sticker that had fallen on the floor and stuck it on the front of her shirt because she was mad that I stuck her sticker on the back of her shirt. (I do that because she normally pulls it off on the front). She makes me laugh.
I also bought the kids a new toy before Chris left so that I would have something new to entertain them with. It was a little car that they both LOVED. I had no idea it was going to turn so cold, so fast.
They got a couple really pretty days in of riding it though.
They would pretend they were going to the store or to eat. Dylan would "order" at Chick fil a and he would even include the count. Like, "I want a 4 count nugget meal" I died, too funny!
So glad it's getting closer to springtime, and we have a fun trip planned this month, plus it's Valentine's Day month, and I'm working on something pretty big for me. All around, good times. I love my little people and the fun we have!
