Kinley,
You are 2 years old now and it is so true what they say, time flies. I can still remember the day you were born and staring at you in amazement, still not believing that the Lord had blessed me with a little girl. You were perfect. You still are!
You weigh 28 pounds and are 33.5 inches tall. (right at 50th percentile) You wear mostly 2T clothes, but some shirts are 3T and size 5.5/6 shoes.
You are a picky little eater. You LOVE milk and if you didn't drink so much you would weigh much less. You like blueberries, grapes, french fries, yogurt, muffins, cheese, chips w/ salsa, and crackers. Oh, and only mac and cheese from Jim N Nicks. That's pretty much all you will eat. You also love to steal others sweet tea. Better not leave it sitting around because you will drink it! :)
You love your brother soo much! You call him Bubba and get upset when he gets out of the car at school in the mornings. You really aren't the best with sharing though! ;) You don't like to see him upset and, my goodness, he can't stand to see you upset. He'll want to give you a hug and kiss if you get hurt.
(You were supposed to hold up two here, but oh well, you were too cute just holding up one!)
Kiki, your vocabulary is amazing. Even your doctor commented on how good your language is. You talked in sentences to him. You easily string 4-5 words together. That is good sometimes and bad others. You don't hold back and tell us exactly what you think! haha It's super cute though. You can copy any word we say.
You also love to sing and dance. You make words up to songs and dance along with the tune.
Kinley, you also love books! You will "read" them to yourself and us and love for anyone to flip through a book with you.
We had you a "2 Party" this year. (It was so funny because you started calling it a "2 Party!!") I just wanted to do something small for you because, let's face it, everyday is a Kinley day! I thought you would enjoy having all the attention and getting special treatment throughout the day. I think you really loved it! You got a Doc McStuffins CD and we all sang and danced to the music for awhile and you loved that. I had plenty of balloons and cupcakes, two of your favorites.
We surprised you with balloons and decorations outside your door the morning of your birthday! You (and Dylan) loved that.
I have to add that Dylan wanted to help make your cupcakes. He did a great job helping.
You really got into eating your cupcake!! haha
Then it was time for presents...
I had the best time just being able to take my time and really watch you. I think we will try to make little parties like this more of a tradition. We love the big fun parties, but these are special too.
Kiki, I could try to tell you how much we love you, but words just can't explain that type of thing. You and Dylan make our world turn. I love how you always want to sit by me in bed and read a book or play with a toy. You have the sweetest way sometimes, other times, you are full of spunk. I'm glad though, I know you will always be able to take care of yourself. I've thanked the Lord every night for the past two years for you (and Dylan, of course). We love you Kinley!
Happy Birthday Sweetness!!!
