My Birthday and the 4th!

This past weekend was the 4th of July and my birthday! I turned the big 3-0. Everyone better be right when they say this was/is their favorite decade. Or maybe they're just saying it to be nice. ;)
We didn't do too much on the 4th. We went to the beach the weekend before and Chris' dad had surgery that week (and was in the hospital a few days), so we just hung around the house.
Later that night, however, we did go over to Jonah's house and shoot a few fireworks.

Sparklers were the hit of the night. Let's face it, with kids it kinda has to be. Our other fav firework was called Midnight Delight and it kept going and going. That's all I'm going to say about that. Oh, and btw, I don't think we'll ever get an everlasting smoke bomb again. It's true to it's word. ;)

Sunday was my actual birthday and Chris did a great job of making it fun. He always does. :) We eat at Top of the Town for lunch. They have a Sunday buffet and it's really good. Dylan has a huge plate of roast beef here...totally random choice.
Kinley was really good and even got complimented on her manners! :) Go Kiki!
That afternoon we went to a park and visited my granny at the nursing home.

I have never been so surrounded by geese in my life. Some of them were even hissing at us because we weren't feeding them fast enough. I have to admit I was a little freaked out! haha
This is what it looked like all the way around us:
Dylan insisted on getting out on the little boats they had so Kinley and I stayed in the AC while Dylan and Chris ventured out there for like .7 seconds! ha
That night, Chris made pizzas and the crew came over. We had cake and I opened presents.

I really did have a great birthday and got to spend it with my favorite people! I'm a lucky girl for sure!
