Our Favorite Little Trip

I'm going to be honest, we try to go to the beach every month during the warm months. Which, here in Bama, is like 10 months out of the year. We just make a long weekend out of it, nothing fancy. I just feel more like myself around the water/sun and the kids love playing in the water and in the sand. (This is a new development for Kinley because up until this summer, she hated the sand.)
I'm kinda hating on the fact that Dylan starting Kindergarten next week will be cutting into our beaching schedule, haha!

We stay at our aunt Cathy's beach house a lot and she is always so fun.
This time we rode her jet ski, which Dylan and Kinley LOVE! This was Kinley's first time to ride it and she kept calling it a boat. Alrighty then, tiny boat, but whatever works. ;)
She tried to drive it herself, but as soon as Chris would speed up, she would drop her hands and hold on tight! haha
Dylan is an old pro with it though. He loves to go fast.
Cathy treated the kids to a build a bear and let them pick out whatever they wanted for their new friend.
Dylan chose a Shredder Monkey and Kinley chose a Bulldog. She wanted a Hello Kitty robe for it to wear.
Now Kinley cries at night if we don't make sure she has "Jacksiri" (she named him).
I always get kinda sad when we have to come back home because I just love it so much. I always leave a little part of my heart there. I know it sounds corny, but I do.

I love just setting a chair up at the edge of the ocean and letting the waves hit my feet. I actually want the tide to reach my chair!! It's my happy place. Although, I will admit I got roasted this past trip because I thought we were going to just be out there for like an hour one morning. Ekkk!! I looked like a lobster afterwards.
As bad as that sounds, I felt amazing for like 2 days because of all the vitamin D! Of course, we always put sunscreen on the kids so they were totally protected.

"Wishing I was knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky breeze and it don't seem fair
Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise there's a fire in the sky
Never been so happy
Never felt so high
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise"

We just got back from Gulf Shores 3 weeks ago and it felt so good! I use to think I wouldn't like to live on the beach but now that I'm older I could so pull it off. Hope you guys had a great time.
